PJ – Frequent Asked Question

What is Permanent Jewelry?

Permanent jewelry refers to pieces, typically bracelets, anklets, or necklaces, that are welded or fused directly onto the wearer’s body without a traditional clasp. Once attached, they can’t be easily removed unless cut off, making them a long-lasting accessory. These pieces are usually made from durable, high-quality metals like gold or silver to avoid tarnishing or irritation.

The trend has gained popularity for its symbolism—representing enduring bonds, memories, or personal milestones. It’s kind of like a modern, stylish twist on friendship bracelets or commitment jewelry.

Can Permanent Jewelry be removed?

Yes! Your jewelry can simply be removed with scissors at the welding point. I can re-weld jewelry purchased for up to 30 days. After that, I can re-weld for a fee of $10.

Does Permanent Jewelry hurt?

Not one bit! We weld the metal through a painless process so no worries here!

How long does my permanent jewelry last?

Because the bracelet is welded on, it does not have a clasp and, therefore, will “permanently” stay on (until you decide to remove it). Bear in mind, that nothing in life is truly permanent! My goal is to provide you with a secure and high-quality chain, but jewelry is inherently delicate. For some people, permanent jewelry lasts a lifetime but for many, a repair or re-weld might be in order. It depends on how hard you are on your jewelry.

What are the age requirements?

Anyone between 12 and 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Custom-fit bracelets with clasps can be created for children 12 & under.

What about surgery or MRI?

Your jewelry will most likely need to be removed before your MRI. You can cut your piece with a scissor at the welding point. Your piece can be re-welded later, usually for a small fee. Also, some places will allow you to just put a tape if it is a bracelet or anklet to cover it.

Can I go through airport security?

Yep! TSA does not ask you to remove jewelry when going through airport security.

What if my jewelry breaks or stretches?

Though durable, jewelry is not invincible, so if your piece stretches or breaks, please hang onto the chain and come to re-weld or repair.

How do I clean my permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry can be cleaned with gentle soap in the shower or while washing your hands. To protect the integrity of the jewelry, it is best to avoid heavily fragranced or antibacterial soaps.
